The Flying Horseman Ranch

Every year, I spend Thanksgiving with my dad’s family in north Texas on his parents’ farm. I love being with family, it’s so grounding. It was especially important this year after my grandfather passed away. It was such a stark change having been in New York for five months.

This is visual heaven.

Old clothes. American scene paintings. Desolate land. Rusted cars. Red dust covered trucks. It was all so fascinating to me. Especially since I normally photograph scenes with people in it. This, I wasn’t. Maybe it was the family history. But I think I was so interested in everything there.

This is definitely the start of a project.

More coming soon.
